20510 A0668 United Church Archives     Canada's First Methodist Church, The Hay Bay Chapel, erected in 1791 by United Empire Loyalists under guidance of Rev. William Losee, a short distance North of Adolphustown in County of Lennox and Addington, Ontario. The church was maintained by the United Church of Canada as a prime historical landmark. Within a few yards is the homestead of the parents of Rt. Hon. Sir John A. Macdonald, G.C.B. (Grand Commander Bath), Canada's First Premier.
